I was going to use this card candy for convention... but since I'm not going, I'm going to have to join a card candy swap! This is a beautiful butterfly. I also used the Sizzix tag die, I love the way it layers so well.

Love the HOT SPOT
Archivers has a section of "hot spot" items that are all $1.99. Can you believe this bird stamp was a hot spot item? More colors that I am venturing out to use too. I also used the large scalloped circle from Nesties. A little bling on the left side just gives it a little balance. Hope you are inspired to try new color combinations too.

BEE- HAPPY
I cased this tent style card from MISH of course. It's her signature card. This little bee came from a set that I picked up at Archivers. Not sure if you can tell, but the heart is filled with Sickles! Did you also notice that I pulled out my button collection too? It's been forever that I used them- I do love thos buttons.

Get well...
I didn't have any get well cards in my stash! I totally cased this one from Mish- I love her work! I know I've said before that I stalk her blog daily! The slipper stamps is Karen Lockhart stamp.
These colors are a little different for me- but I'm always trying to get out of my comfort zone!

HELLO...
I really thought summer time would slow us all down and give me more time to "create"... WRONG! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Still getting use to this Colorado weather- hot in the day, thunderstorms and lightening in the evening. CRAZY! Well, for starters, we just had our 22nd wedding anniversary, so I have to show you what Joey made for us. Lots of artistic talent running in the Casa de Lilya!
I actually ave managed to come up with a few projects myself.
Hope you like this card

The chicks are back!
I love the way these nugget boxes came out. I used the template for nugget boxes (2 x 2) found at SCS under "nugget boxes". Then I took piece of clear acetate (aka: overhead projector sheets) and wrapped it around to have it slide out. I used super sticky tape to close. I am going to try to make a few more for my study group tomorrow. Wish me luck!
p.s. I'll stop taking pictures at midnight so my lighting will be better!

Top Note Totes
I am really loving this top note die from Stampin' Up! I made these totes using a small, white lunch bag I picked up at M's. I love SU designer paper! My friends and I had a "craft" night and I wanted to bring them each a little something. We had such a great time- if I remember correctly, I didn't get anything done! Thanks Terri for being a great hostess!

Envelope holder card...
I can't remember what they called this "idea"! I used an envelope and cut off 2 inches off. Then I ran the bottom of the envelope through the crimper. It makes it "shrink" a bit so then the top I cut off slips over like a lid. Can't remember who I cased it from over at SCS, but I love the idea. This little bunny came from Hobby Lobby and the carrot I used on the envelope is SOOO old from CTMH. I used some sparkles on my bunny's tummy. I hope you like it!

mini purse
Thank you for your kind remarks and emails regarding my mini purse. I will ATTEMPT to give you some directions on how I put it together.
1 piece of cardstock cut 2 1/4 by 2
On the long side- score at 1 inch then again at 1 1/4 inch
On the short side- score 1/4 inch on each side
Cut the two middle scores to create little flaps. You should be able to fold it together and add adhesive to the flaps. I hope that is clear... as mud, right! Here's a pic for all US visual people.
Shoot me an email if you need more details. Let me know what you come up with.
Square cards...
I love using SheetLoad sketches to make cards. You know I have issues and can't just make one card at a time. SheetLoad gives you a sketch and EXACT instructions on how to make multiple cards with the same design. I used March SheetLoad sketch to make these cards. You can download there monthly designs here.

Happy Monday
So excited to use PaperTrey's new sentiment stamp set. It is amazingly so versatile. I also used the Polka Dots set. The cards are a little different size than I am use to, but I wanted to make cards that would fit into half of a standard card envelope. I know, weird, but I have a big box of envelopes and I wanted to make some gift sets. So as you can see, I cut the envelope in half and made my own flap. I ony used one 12 x 12 DP paper (it's double sided so it looks like I use 2)and 2 sheets of craft cardstock. Hope you are off to a great week!

Where has the time gone???
I have been so busy I have tons to share with you. Work has been crazy and the kids are on Spring Break. One this week, one next week, YUCK! Yesterday we had a snow blizzard in Colorado- what a blessing! That meant I had to stay put! Got caught up on laundry and cleaning house; feels so good to sit and create in a clean house!
Can't wait to share what I came up with. I am so excicted to show you these SUPER cute lambs I cased from SCS. MariLynn made these lambs as Card Candy, all I did was add a scalloped circle and a peppermint patty to them. Check out her lambs here.

Little chick
I am in the Spring kind of mood. The weather here in Colorado has been awesome. 72 today, but I'm worried that March is going to bring more snow that we care to have to deal with. I still have California blood, which means anything under 60 degrees makes me have to "layer".
Here's some pieces I am working on... I'll let you know what I end up doing with these.

Cased this one!
The monkey is back again! This is a super cute set. I used crstal glaze on the puddle under their feet, on the red dots on the umbrella and on the rain boots on the bottom border. The inside says "I'm glad we're together". I don't know how to make JUST ONE CARD. Does anyone else have this problem? I feel like if I'm going to one, I might as well make some extra for my stash.
My daughter Aly and I sent and did the "make 'n take" at Archivers this weekend. This is one of the 2 cards we made.
Thanks for stopping by.
