My Ghiradelli Box

I was really excited about making this box. The tutorial by Beate on SCS is so easy and gives you a great little gift.

BUT, I'm more excited that I'm learning how to take better pictures- Yes, FINALLY!
Thanks to Becky from inkingidaho.blogspot.com for some great tips! I'll keep trying to take better. Thanks for stopping by.

Mini top note box

Cards 4 Kids

These are two more designs I came up with for the kids. I found the "Love Bug" and the Valentine circle stamp in the dollar bin at M's. The paper is from Hobby Lobby. I made these two postcard style. I have never stamped with so much purpose. I am so glad I made time to do these.

Teacher's Cookies

I finished the cookies for my daughters teachers. They have a meeting tomorrow and different parents volunteer to provide snacks for them. They are ALL wonderful people and very worth all the time and effort.
I love this set from Papertrey Ink-it's the first time I've used it. My colors were inspired my MISH MASH- she rocks! Thanks for stopping by... have a super week!

Yup, more paperclips!

BUT they are not brown and pink! This is a smaller version than the other 2 posted. This is the size of a regular matchbook cover. I used all SU- Parer, ink and stamps. I used the 3 flower punch. I punched the flowers from the same DP paper. Ok, I'm moving on from the paper clip idea!

Archivers Find

My friend Kristin came in to town from Kansas this weekend. So Brenda, Terri, Kristin, and Lori went to Archivers for Scrapmania. NORMALLY we never get anything done, but for some strange reason, we were productive during all of our chatting! This was one of those "peer pressure" projects! Terri made one, and that's all it took! One by one we all RAN and got one... then 2, then 3 and even 4! We all realized what a great gift this would make for mother's day. We got the little rub on letters from the Hot Spot section! It was a "community" set. I think we ALL got to use the letters to do our names.

Cocktail Notes

I bought this set of stamps on clearance about 6 months ago... and you know since it's all about "use what you have" I finally put them to use. It's a Fiskars set that had a wine glass too and lots of other cute stamps. I used SU cardstock and DP too. Thanks for stopping by!

Teacher Tags

I love PaperTrey Ink stamps! I made 36 of these for some cookies I am making next week for my daughters school. The teachers are having a meeting and we are providing a snack for them. I thought it would be nice for them to read these great sentiments from this set. I'll post the finish product later this week.

Cards 4 Kids

A few of my blogging friends have been encouraging us to help make cards for a great cause. I came up with about 5 different designs. Here are 2 of them. Pat is the gal organizing this awesome drive. Pat's goal is to have lots of people help her and come up with 1,000 cards for the kids at the children's hospital. Check out all her details here. So humbling to think that maybe my cards might bring a smile to a child at the hospital. Check out some of the cards Carolina's sending

Another Matchbook

I told you I loved this idea! I used SU three flower punch for this set. So fun! Trying to mass produce this one. I'll let you know how that turns out...

Matchbook

I love smart people! You know, the kind that come up with awesome ideas that I can then "borrow"! I always wonder how they come up with these ideas. I admire that kind of talent. Here is one of those great ideas. So before I go any further, let me tell you that this comes from the brilliant mind of Carolina Buchting.

I used SU Birthday Cupcake set. I REALLY am trying to use other colors- BUT IT"S TOO HARD! Anyway, I LOVE this idea.

-You start of with a 4 1/4" x 7 1/2" cardstock- score at 1", 4 1/2" and then 5".
-Fold the bottom flap and staple in the middle. That will be the bottom of your matchbook and will keep it closed.
-Then I used DP cut at 4 1/8" by 7 1/2" and adhere to your cardstock.
I had a whole bunch of the large paper clips, so I used those. I think Carolina used the small (or regular) paper clips.
Check out Carolina's awesome example.
I liked this idea so much, made another set that I'll post later this week.
Thanks for stopping by!

M & M Treat Holder

This a super easy and quick project. Of course you know I cased it! Take a look at Judy's blog for her tutorial and easy instructions. My daughter decided these are the one's she wants to make for her friends this Valentine's Day. So glad she picked something easy!

Gum Holder Swap

Another fun swap over at SCS. I used the directions from another one of my favorite blog's I stalk! Rochelle does a great job on her tutorial. You can check Rochelle out here.

These are really OLD CTMH stamps that I've had forever! Used my nesties for the rectangle backing on the mini envelopes. Hope you're off to a great week!

Kit Kat Treat

I found this great paper at Hobby Lobby. It's another one of those really cute gift ideas and yet quick and simple!
-You start off with DP cut at 6" x 6"
-Wrap it tightly around your Kit Kat (I used red tape to adhere)- make sure you run tape all the way around)
-Pinch the ends closed and run through a paper crimp.
-Then I made a "belly band" measuring 1 1/4" x 7"
I used SU scalloped edge punch on the band too.
-Then I punched the circle scalloped layered with another pin circle.
(I used another one of the envelope stamps from CTMH.)
If I timed myself, I would say 10 minutes tops.

IBC Challenge #1

I am really excited about these challenges. I think it is a great idea to provide other ideas from the STAMPIN' UP IDEA BOOK. Thanks to Samantha for coming up with this great idea.
Love this Cupcake set from SU.
Layered the top of the cupcake with dimensionals. Used a some sickles on the sprinkles. A little bling on the small flower on the bottom.
Check out Samantha on her blog to see what other SU fans come up with!

Bubble Bella

I love this stamp! I wish I could take better pictures though. Any suggestions? I have a great camera- Cannon PowerShot, so I KNOW it's the user! I decided to use a black background just to be consistant, but I am open to suggestions.

I used the circle embossing folder with my cuttlebug. With Stickles, I outlined the bubbles. If I could take better pictures, you would be able to see that I used clear glaze to fill in the little puddle at the bottom of the tub.

I also started using my Copic markers. My collection is still small, but I am working on it! I took a class at a local SBS on how to use them. It is a bit of investment, but they color great. I highly reccomend the blender pen- it truely works like no other.

Sweet and Simple

I really like the simplicity of this card. Not to mention it took no time at all to make about 4 of each color! I love the scallope edge punch from SU... it gives it a nice finished look. I love when designer paper patterns match perfect. Quick and easy... my kind of card! Hope you are having a great week!

Love My Coffee

Happy Monday- Off and running back to school and work!

I was surfing and saw a great coffee card that said "take time to smell the coffee". I loved it, can't remember where I saw it though. Well, I am committed to using what I have! I don't want to be a collector of supplies any more. I fell asleep thinking about this card! This is what I came up with. I used some old and newer stamps. I love SU Old Olive- I have to get out of my comfort zone though.
Funny the things I dream about huh?
Stamps: Stampendous, coffee stamp-unknown
Paper: SU Old Olive and Pink Pirouette
Ink: SU Old Olive
Tools: SU Ticket punch
Other: Pink Ribbon and Pink bling

Valentine Treats

Back to whatever "normal" means after the holidays! Kids are back from visiting family in California and all is well again.

I made these treats for Debbee's Valentine Goodies Swap over at SCS. I cased the idea from one of my favorite blogs to stalk! Angie always has great ideas and step by step directions- perfect for visual learners like me. Check out her directions for this Treat Holder.
I used the new SU set A HAPPY HEART. I stamped the FEB. 14th stamp as the background. On the inside I used the Happy Valentine's Day stamp as the sentiment. The only thing I did different from Angie, is that I added the red TAB on the chocolate. I'm happy the way they turned out.

Happy New Year!

What a year! So much change! It's been 9 months since we moved to Colorado, yet it seems like we've been her forever. More changes for 2009... more positive changes. My first "resolution" is to keep up with MY blog. I spend so much time admiring everyone else's, I neglect mine. I plan to change that this year, starting now. Can't wait to jump in on the challenges on Splitcoast and joining a blog group too! Oh and to gt a new picture!
