Mini Felt Purses

No stamping today. I used my BIG SHOT a lot! The purse is from the BASKETS & BLOOMS die from Stampin' Up. I folded the felt just above the bottom cut line. I trimmed the "fold line" that would normally would have scored on paper. I sewed a 1/4 inch on both sides. It really is that easy. The flowers are fabric scraps I had using the FUN FLOWERS die. If you only get one flower dies, this is the one to have! I mixed fabric stiffener and water (1 part each) into a sprayer. I sprayed each fabric layer after cutting and then scrunched them in my hands. I let them dry over night. It doesn't make them super stiff, it just gives them a bit more body. I will be putting these up in my ETSY Shop this weekend.

Backpack... and I'm back!

It's not for lack of wanting... the same old excuse! I just need to make time. Ok, enough of all that.

Check out my backpack! I have been wanting to make this FOREVER. Finally made time. I used my favorite Stampin' Up paper "Love Letter". The crown is from the Artistic Etchings with a bit of bling. I wrapped some gum with the same paper and made a pull for it.

The most important part was the template. You can buy it from the amazing Becky Robert's HERE. She had some gorgeous samples too.

Thanks for stoping by!

p.s. I'm working on my lighting!

Fabric Tags

Thanks to Michelle Wooderson I am so addicted to finding "vintage" fabric. I have had great luck at the thrift store. I used punches from Stampin' Up for the bird and flower. The butterfly is a Papertrey die. More safety pins to hang them from. I try to make them the same size, more or less. I like that each one is original!

Have a great day

Top Note Totes

I am really loving this top note die from Stampin' Up! I made these totes using a small, white lunch bag I picked up at M's. I love SU designer paper! My friends and I had a "craft" night and I wanted to bring them each a little something. We had such a great time- if I remember correctly, I didn't get anything done! Thanks Terri for being a great hostess!

Top Note Purse

Very monochromatic, I know. I've been wanting to try this for a while. So many cute top note purses on SCS. I also was dying to try to make one with the Stampin' Up punch. This is what I came up with. Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by.

Pizza Box note cards

I love having little "gift" at arms reach. Sometime I just want to let someone know that I was thinking of them. I decided to make 3 x 3 cards- so I went to my box of "scraps" (truth be told, it's a box, basket, drawer- you know what I mean?) I'm trying to use what I have- and notice again, no pink??!! You can find the directions for the pizza box at SCS.

Business Card Holders

I made some more business card holders. I love handing these out! People can "re-use" them as gift card holders after. They are great conversation pieces. I'm going to make a few more designs. I'll post more later.
I like the criss cross one the best, but takes more time to make. The vertical pull ones are super easy. I used my crimper at the bottom and then a small circle punch at the top. You can see that on the pull out part, I used a tab to make it easier to pull. Then I used the slit punch to hold my card in place. Hope you like them!

My Ghiradelli Box

I was really excited about making this box. The tutorial by Beate on SCS is so easy and gives you a great little gift.

BUT, I'm more excited that I'm learning how to take better pictures- Yes, FINALLY!
Thanks to Becky from inkingidaho.blogspot.com for some great tips! I'll keep trying to take better. Thanks for stopping by.

Mini top note box

This isn't new- but I hadn't posted it here yet. I'm going to post directions and a new design this weekend... so stay tuned!

Yup, more paperclips!

BUT they are not brown and pink! This is a smaller version than the other 2 posted. This is the size of a regular matchbook cover. I used all SU- Parer, ink and stamps. I used the 3 flower punch. I punched the flowers from the same DP paper. Ok, I'm moving on from the paper clip idea!

Cocktail Notes

I bought this set of stamps on clearance about 6 months ago... and you know since it's all about "use what you have" I finally put them to use. It's a Fiskars set that had a wine glass too and lots of other cute stamps. I used SU cardstock and DP too. Thanks for stopping by!

Cards 4 Kids

A few of my blogging friends have been encouraging us to help make cards for a great cause. I came up with about 5 different designs. Here are 2 of them. Pat is the gal organizing this awesome drive. Pat's goal is to have lots of people help her and come up with 1,000 cards for the kids at the children's hospital. Check out all her details here. So humbling to think that maybe my cards might bring a smile to a child at the hospital. Check out some of the cards Carolina's sending

M & M Treat Holder

Valentine Treats

Back to whatever "normal" means after the holidays! Kids are back from visiting family in California and all is well again.

I made these treats for Debbee's Valentine Goodies Swap over at SCS. I cased the idea from one of my favorite blogs to stalk! Angie always has great ideas and step by step directions- perfect for visual learners like me. Check out her directions for this Treat Holder.
I used the new SU set A HAPPY HEART. I stamped the FEB. 14th stamp as the background. On the inside I used the Happy Valentine's Day stamp as the sentiment. The only thing I did different from Angie, is that I added the red TAB on the chocolate. I'm happy the way they turned out.

Candy Bar Pulls

Candy bar pulls are so fun to make. My friend Rochelle has a great tutorial you can follow here http://impressionsbyrochelle.blogspot.com/
The only difference is that I use the Stampin' Up punch as a pull. These were also great sellers at our craft show. Oh, I also used the crimper as a finishing touch on the bottom. These are great for any occassion. I think I'm going to make some Holloween one's for my neighbor kids, just a little something special for them. I'll post what I come up with. Have a great day!

Cute Purses!

I saw a great tutorial from STAMPVAMP (Tonya) on how to make these great purses. She made it look so easy, I had to try them. This is what I came up with. I think I will make more of these for the craft show. You can watch her tutorial here http://http//www.stamphappens.com/stamp_happens/2008/08/sweet-little-pu.html

The only thing I did differently is I used my Coluzzle Circle Cutter for the handles instead. I used the extra piece of the 12 x 12 sheet to make 3 cards to put inside and a matching pen. Used my new Stampin Up! stamsp too.

I have had this paper I bought from Hobby Lobby when paper was 50%- so I think it cost me 25 cents. Check out Tonya's tutorial and try one yourself!
