Love this Monkey!

I know, I know... I said I was going to use what I have. And I did, sort of. I have come to the conclusion that stamps don't count- so I used paper I already had from a VERY Long time ago. I also wanted to share how I work when I mass produce. I picked up this stamp at Archivers. It's one of the new stamps that has a "cling" type back on it. I love the saying "Some mornings you know it's going to be a two cup day". Ain't that the truth! Happy Monday!

Snail Mail Gift Sets

I love this snail stamp from Lockhart Stamps. As I've said before, I love Michelle Wooderson's work. I love the not card sets she puts together. I also used my JustRite stamp set to add the "snail mail for you" at the bottom. I love the packaging! I used a vellum envelope that I closed up and cut the sort end with decorative scissors. Pizza Box note cards

I love having little "gift" at arms reach. Sometime I just want to let someone know that I was thinking of them. I decided to make 3 x 3 cards- so I went to my box of "scraps" (truth be told, it's a box, basket, drawer- you know what I mean?) I'm trying to use what I have- and notice again, no pink??!! Where have I been?

I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week! What have I been doing... OH YEA- working on my sister-in-law's "save the date" cards! They turned our very cute, but lots of work! I now officially hat that stamp she bought (wink, wink).

On to other news... what do you think of my blog "makeover"? I wish I could take credit for it, but the only thing I did was give two wonderful blog designers a LOT OF GRIEF! I don't know how they do it. I must have changed my mind a bunch of times. But they were great and I love how it all turned out. Check out other blogs they've done: Thanks Heather

U Rock!

I finally got a chance to use my new Cricut cartridge. This was inspired by my son, the rock star! Again, I used a 4 x 4 format. Just took 2 of those 4 x 4 strip I cut of CS and did the diagonal cut in the front. I used my SU punch for the top pull. A more masculine card that I am use to. Trying to EXPAND my comfort zone!

4 x 4 Cards

I know, it seemed awkward at first, but let me tell you why I tried it. Patty had a tutorial on how to get the most cards from your paper. She showed how you can get 4 (almost 5) cards from one piece of cardstock. She was showing how with a pack of SU DP, but because I have SO MUCH paper, I thought I would use what I have! Not only that, they aren't pink and brown! You should be so proud! So... I used 2 pieces of 12 x 12 cardstock and 3 DP cut into 1/3 (of a 12 x 12), some ribbon, cirlce and scallop punches. I ran the cardstock through my cuddlebug. Then just for fun, I made matching envelopes. I used the standard card size envelope and cut them down to 4 1/4. With my left over DP (pattern paper) I made the flap. I really like how easy this was. I ended up with 8 cards in less than an hour. I really do like this size too. Thanks for stopping by.
